Dr. Frederica Perera was honored for her commitment to improving children’s health.

Dr. Frederica Perera, a member of TASC's Board of Directors and Director of the Columbia Center for Children's Environmental Health, recently was honored by the Healthy Schools Network for her work on improving the health of children. Dr. Perera is internationally recognized for her research on environmental causes of cancer and developmental disorders including the effects of ambient air pollution, environmental tobacco smoke, and pesticides on health outcomes in children. Dr. Perera is the Principal Investigator of the Center's study of health effects of environmental pollutants on pregnant mothers and children.
