According to a Daily News article, the programs will close June 30, leaving hundreds of working parents and their children without their free after-school programs next school year.
"Unfortunately, we don't see any silver bullet for saving these programs," said TASC president Lucy Friedman. "It's going to reverberate for the families. We're concerned about kids winding up on the street, or in front of a television."
