CNN journalist and TASC board member honored by the National Association of Black Journalists.

Soledad O'Brien has been named Journalist of the Year by the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). She is being honored for her reporting on CNN’s "In America" documentaries, specifically for the series "Black in America" 1 and 2. The documentaries took an in-depth look at the challenges African-Americans face and featured individuals who are at the forefront of creating solutions within the community.

She will be honored at NABJ's Salute to Excellence Gala, on July 31st in San Diego, during their 35th Annual Convention and Career Fair, the largest gathering of minority journalists in the country.

Ms. O'Brien is currently an anchor and special correspondent for CNN. She has served on TASC’s Board of Directors since 2007.
