The Project Orange Thumb Grant Program is intended to recognize projects that will make differences in their communities through unique community garden initiatives while demonstrating and communicating how a small group of people can make changes that affect and involve the entire community.
This program is intended to promote new garden spaces only, not gardens already in existence and is open to any not-for-profit organization within the U.S. or Canada.
For 2012, ten recipients will receive receive $5,000 in cash and tools to help support their goals of neighborhood beautification and horticulture education. One additional applicant will receive a complete garden makeover.
