The Youth Service Improvement Grants (YSIG) program supports activities designed to improve the quality of services for young people (ages 8 to 25) in the New York metropolitan area. The goal is to help good programs get better.
Organizations should identify a problem with their current services and propose an improvement project with two main elements: (1) a plan of activities to improve the program services, and (2) a plan to track the progress of the implementation of the improvement plan and its short-term results. Projects may be between six months and two years in duration. Eligible activities improve services at the point where staff and youth interact, and include but are not limited to the following:
