New Opportunities for NYC After-School Staff
"Leadership in After-School" Graduate Certificate Program - Apply Early for Discount
Register by June 16 to enroll in the certificate program at Hunter College's Graduate School of Education. Pay just $100 for the first semester. All other costs for credits and registration are covered by scholarships and financial aid. This one-year, nine-credit professional certificate program is the first of its kind in New York. The program is designed for after-school leaders who have completed their undergraduate degrees. For applications and additional information visit the Center’s Web site. All applications and the first payment of $100 must be received by the Center on or before June 16, 2008. Deadline Extended to Enroll in Undergraduate Certificate Program For after-school staff members who want to earn college credits for little or no cost this coming school year, the deadline to enroll has been extended. Apply today to earn a professional certificate at one of four CUNY colleges that will help you get on track for better pay, leadership positions and advanced degrees. Mullgrav, Commissioner of the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development, and Reverend Alfonso Wyatt, Vice President of the Fund for the City of New York Resources for You and Your Staff Year Up Training Program Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits and corporate apprenticeships. The program allows participants to focus on skill mastery in one of two areas: either desktop support and IT help-desk or investment operations. Students will apprentice with local partner companies.
