All TASC-funded and affiliated programs can bring trainers to their schools to work with staff on customized trainings. These might include introducing instrumental music into the curriculum, managing behaviors or involving parents. By training staff members where they work instead of asking them to travel to schools or other institutions, access is made easy. After-school programs build strong relationships with their hosting schools by inviting day-school staff to participate. After-school leaders consult with principals and their community-based organizations to select the workshops that best meet their needs.
TASC publishes a site-based training catalog which is updated every year. The catalog offers a large selection of training providers and a varied menu of trainings in areas that cover arts, sports, science, hands-on academics, child development, health and wellness, safety, youth development, life skills, leadership and management.
Community-based organizations that run after-school programs and would like to be affiliated with TASC are invited to purchase our training services. For further information regarding core/central trainings, please contact Kris Wright at kwright@tascorp.org.
